Mrs. Zelma Faye Parson, daughter of the late Edwin and Beryl (Goff) Smith, passed peacefully from this life on Thursday, July 31, 2025 at the Campbellsville Nursing and Rehab Center. She was 79 years of age. Mrs. Parson was born in Taylor County on February 6, 1946. She was a caretaker at heart and earned a living tending to the needs of patients at nursing homes in Taylor, Green and Jefferson counties. She was the cherished wife of Junior Parson, who preceded her in death on October 24, 2023. She was also preceded in death by a twin sister, Thelma Maye Gore.
She leaves to mourn her passing:
Stepchildren: Margaret Parson and husband Jeff Wheat of Campbellsville, Roy Parson and wife Dorothy of Russell Springs, Keith Parson and wife Monica of Winchester, and George Ratliff, Jr. of Greensburg,
And several step-grandchildren, cousins, and other extended family members and friends.
There will be a graveside funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Parson on Sunday, August 3, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. at the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 700 Old US 68, Campbellsville, KY. Bro. Ramon Hollins will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, please consider memorials in the form of donations to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society. Those can be made in person at the funeral home or at the cemetery during the service.
