Eli M. Weaver

April 16, 1938 – August 6, 2026

Eli M. Weaver of Greensburg, Kentucky, passed on peacefully to his reward while surrounded by family at the Taylor County Regional Hospital on August 6, 2026, at the age of 88 years, 3 months, and 21 days. He was born on April 16, 1938 at Deep Creek, Virginia, to the late Mahlon and Sarah (Kramer) Weaver.

He received Christ as his Savior in his youth and was a faithful member of the Summersville Mennonite Church in Green County, Kentucky.

On May 21, 1959, he was united in holy matrimony to Irene (Yoder) Weaver, who survives. They spent 67 years together serving the Lord.

Surviving along with his wife are 6 children, Rosie, married to Eli Kauffman, Brooksville, MS; Leonard married to Joyce, Hartselle, AL; Freeman, married to Mary Ann, Cullman, AL; Thomas, married to Elaine, Campbellsville, KY; Verna, married to Noah Yoder, Lyndon, KS; and Edward, married to Martha, Starkville, MS.

Also surviving is his sister Barbara Ann Yoder, 42 grandchildren, and 62 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant daughter, four brothers: Clarence, Irvin, Noah, and Mahlon; four sisters: Mary, Emma, Katie, and Bertha; one grandson: Matthias; and two great-grandsons: Trevor and Travis.

Funeral services are planned at 10:00 A.M., Central Time, Monday, August 10, 2026 at the Summersville Mennonite Church with interment in the adjoining cemetery.

Visitation is requested from 2 until 4 P.M., Sunday and 6 P.M. until 8 P.M., Central Time, Sunday at the Summersville Mennonite Church.
