Mary Lynne Billingsley Powell, of Magnolia, Kentucky, formerly of Glasgow, passed away Friday, February 28, 2025 surrounded by her loved ones. She was born October 22, 1952 in Maysville, Kentucky to the late Quentin and Katherine Brown Billingsley. She was 72 years, four months, and six days of age.
As a 1970 graduate of Glasgow High School she was a majorette in the Glasgow Scottie Band. She retired from Schneider International where she team drove with her husband for 19 years.
She is survived by her husband of 39 years: Clinton Wade Powell having united in marriage on May 18, 1985. Other survivors include sons: Michael Maggard (Jesse) of Naperville IL, Marc Maggard of Medellin Colombia; daughters: Megan Elkins(Danny) of Greensburg KY, Michele Combs(Jarred) of Glasgow KY, Chastity Munoz(Raymond) of Clarksville TN; grandchildren: Hunter, Caleb, Breanna, Hayden, Kayla, Alyssa, Aspen, Addison, Taylor, Jeremy, Izabella, and Sophia; sister: Tracy Harder(Bob) of Bowling Green; brother-in-law: Steve Powell(Rita) of Glasgow; nieces and nephews: Kacie, Andy, Amanda, and Travis; her fur baby: Marley; and a host of other family and life-long friends, especially the 1970s classmates girls group.
The family has chosen to honor her request with cremation and a celebration of life to be held at a later date. Cowherd & Parrott in Greensburg, Kentucky along with family in charge of arrangements.
