Joseph Kessinger Sr.

Joseph Ray Kessinger, Sr., of Campbellsville, the son of Mary Whelan Kessinger and the late John Gilbert Kessinger, was born May 6, 1980 in Louisville, KY and departed this life on Tuesday, October 21, 2025 in Louisville at the Norton Brownsboro Hospital. He was 45 years of age.

He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his grandchildren and other relatives and friends.

Survivors include his mother: Mary Kessinger, his children: Joseph Kessinger and wife Cynthia, Damon Kessinger and companion Nicole Pelston, and Kaden Kessinger.

Also a brother and sister: John Whelan Kessinger and Mary Lobband husband Chris; seven grandchildren: Jennifer, Brynlee, Leah, Beau, Joseph Oliver, Jesslyn and Jesse; two nieces: Trinity and Malea Lobb, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Besides his father, he was preceded in death by a daughter: Zena Kessinger and a grandchild: Bentley.

The funeral service for Joseph Ray Kessinger will be Saturday, October 25, 2025 at 1:00 P.M. in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home with cremation to follow.

Bro. Darrell Kessinger will be officiating.

Visitation on Saturday after 11:00 A.M. until time for the service.
