Howard James Benningfield of Campbellsville, Kentucky, the son of Melvin Richard Benningfield and Frances Close Benningfield, was born on January 16, 1954, in Taylor County, Kentucky, and departed this life on August 5, 2024, at the Green Hill Manor Nursing Home in Greensburg, Kentucky.
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Liberty Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
He was retired from Victory Trucking Company in Houston, Texas where he lived for many years. He was a safety manager for several trucking companies and before that, enjoyed being a truck driver.
Howard is survived by one daughter, Kendra Benningfield of Texas, a brother, Dennis Benningfield and wife Cathy, and one sister, Barbara Davenport and husband Tommy of Campbellsville, Kentucky, along with several nieces and nephews, and a host of extended family.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Marcia Murphy, and a nephew, Brent Murphy.
To carry out his wishes, he will be cremated with no service.
