Geraldine “GG” Young Ramsey, was born August 23, 1945 in Green Co., Ky and peacefully departed this life on March 12, 2025 at the Green River Trials Nursing Facility, surrounded by her family.
After accepting Jesus Christ as her personal savior on March 11, 2025, she ran into His arms the following day.
She united in marriage to Robert V. Ramsey on December 17, 1968 , who preceded her in death on September 9, 2002. They spent many of their years in Tampa, Florida before moving back to Kentucky in 1998.
She enjoyed watching hummingbirds and deer, working puzzles, playing cards and the lottery.
She is survived by her longtime companion, Herman Bishop. Two children and their spouses, Margaret Parson and Jeff Wheat, and Roy and Dorothy Parson. Her grandchildren Jason and Brandy Tucker, Megan and Seth Covarrubius, Shawna and John Shuffett and Lily Parson. 3 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild survive. Also survived by her siblings Judy Posey, Peggy Meadows, Wilma Whitlock and Odell Young, as well as a special great-niece, Maddie Jo Vaughn. She was preceded in death by her parents Otis and Clovis Young, and siblings Wendell Young, Leon Young, Bessie Mae Ferguson and Phyllis Bishop.
Per her wishes, cremation was chosen and there will be no formal services.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Gupton-Landrum Funeral Home in Greensburg.
