Doug Thompson, of Campbellsville, KY, the son of the late Doyle and Lois Jean (Eastridge) Thompson, was born in Taylor County on April 23, 1972 and departed this life on Thursday, March 20, 2025 in Campbellsville at his home, He was 52 years of age.
He was a certified welder for 27 years. He was of the Christian Faith and attended the Campbellsville Church of the Nazarene. He was a sports fanatic and was very athletic, and enjoyed Nascar. He was an avid UK and Dallas Cowboys fan. Doug also loved helping people.
Survivors include his children: Carly Waldrep (Blair), Jacob Thompson and Angel Edelen (Patric Gabehart); a sister: Bonnie Graham (Roy).
Also surviving are his grandchildren: Crimson Waldrep, Lacy and Leah Covey and his expectant grandchild: Camden Waldrep; special nieces: Shanda Campbell and Tara Perkins (Jaspar) and a host of other relatives and friends.
The funeral service for Doug Thompson will be held on Tuesday, March 25, 2025 at 1:00 P.M. at the L.R. Petty Funeral Home Chapel.
Bro. Dwayne Lobb will be officiating.
The family requested visitation on Tuesday, March 25, 2025 from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the service
Doug will be laid to rest beside his parents in the Eastridge Cemetery.
