Donnie Royce Milby, Sr., of Campbellsville, the son of the late Rev. Ernest and Lottie (Thompson) Milby, was born May 24, 1944 in Green County, KY and departed this life on Thursday, July 30, 2026 at his home. He was 82 years of age.
He was a member of god’s Friendship Church in Campbellsville and a retired employee of GE in Louisville.
He was a Masonic Member of the Highland Park Lodge and enjoyed fishing, car racing and spending time with family and friends.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a son: Donnie Milby, Jr., a brother: Bill Milby and a sister: Jean Skaggs.
Survivors include his wife: Linda (Terry) Milby of Campbellsville; two daughters and a son: Penny Marie Cureton and husband Dale of Louisville, Candy Lee Akers and husband Shane and Bryant Christopher Milby, all of Campbellsville.
Also three sisters: Janice Wooldridge and Linda Vibers, both of Louisville and Debbie Zgliczynski of Texas.
Six grandchildren: Crissy Brunson, Scott Milby, Stacey Spencer, Bryanna Milby, Donnie Milby III and Tesla Milby; six great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Funeral – Tuesday, August 4, 2026 at 12 Noon at the L.R. Petty Funeral Home in Campbellsville.
Officiating: Bro. Ramon Hollins
Entombment: Evergreen Cemetery in Louisville.
Visitation: Tuesday, August 4, 2026 after 10 AM at the funeral home
Memorials are suggested to be donations to Hosparus of Green River and may be made at the funeral home.
