Calvin L. Burris of Campbellsville, son of the late Robert Allen Burris and Icolene Maupin Burris, was born January 22, 1940 in Adair County, Kentucky. He died at 1:10 P.M., Monday, March 17, 2025 in Campbellsville. Age: 85
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Lowell Avenue Baptist Church where he had served as a Deacon.
Calvin retired from Houchens in 2001 after 39 years of service.
He enjoyed playing golf and working on golf carts with Tom Gupton. Other hobbies included traveling, camping and fishing with his sons.
He united in marriage to Helen Campbell February 21, 1962.
Besides his wife, Helen Campbell Burris of Campbellsville, Calvin is survived by two sons: Kevin Burris and wife, Leann of Knoxville and Stuart Burris and wife, Glenda of Bowling Green; four grandchildren: Lauren Farley and husband, Jordan of Spring Hill, Tennessee, Charlie Burris and wife, Allison of Knoxville, Lily Burris of Bowling Green and Nathaniel Burris of Knoxville; one sister, Carolyn Rutherford of Salem, Indiana; one sister-in-law, Jewel Burris of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
Calvin was also preceded in death by two brothers: J. C. Burris and Russell Burris.
