David Milby of Greensburg, Kentucky, formerly of Knoxville, Tennessee, son of the late James Roy Milby and Lillian Warren Milby, was born on Thursday, June 9, 1955, in Taylor County, and departed this life on Thursday, June 20, 2024, at Hospice House in Glasgow. He was 69 years, and 11 days of age.
He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Olivet Baptist Church in Powell, Tennessee. He was a National Gas consultant and was owner and operator of CH4 Concepts. Mr. Milby was also a Kentucky Colonel.
Survivors include a son: Kenson Skaggs and wife, Lisa of Jamestown; two grandchildren: Patrick Skaggs, and fiancé, Taylor of Jamestown, and Anna Renee Luster of Tennessee; a brother and sister: Gary Milby of Summersville and Nancy Vaughn of Campbellsville; sister-in-law: Rita Milby of Summersville; longtime friend: Mark Ervin and wife, Carolyn of Ohio; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by grandparents: N.C. Milby and Lee Madden; and a brother: Ranny Milby.
Honoring Mr. Milby’s wishes, cremation was chosen. No formal services or visitation at this time. A celebration of life service to be held at a later date.
