Helen Rice of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Charlie Parrott Dearen and Ora Lee St. Clair Dearen, was born June 6, 1932 in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 1:15 P.M., Saturday, June 27, 2026 in Campbellsville. Age: 94
She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Freedom Baptist Church where she was very active in her church when she was able.
Helen was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom and also worked for Home Health and was a volunteer for the Taylor Regional Hospital Auxiliary.
She enjoyed watching UK Basketball and loved spending time with her family as much as she could.
Helen united in marriage to Frank Eugene Rice March 4, 1950 and he preceded her in death May 25, 1998.
Helen is survived by one son: David Rice and wife, Brenda of Campbellsville; two grandchildren: Angie Draper and husband, Tim of Campbellsville, and Sara Harris and husband, Donald of Campbellsville; two great-grandchildren: Breanna Graham and husband, Colton, and Abby Draper; one sister: Carolyn Edwards of Edmonton; and many other relatives and friends.
Helen was also preceded in death by a son, Greg Rice June 15, 2026
The family would also like to express their gratitude to her caregivers for their exceptional care for Ms. Helen: Shirley Phillips, Laura Rybolt, and Sandy Mangrum.
