Mr. Danny Ray Evans of Campbellsville, formerly of Elkhorn City, KY, was born in Pikeville on March 4, 1961 to the late Bill Evans and Pansy Mullins. He departed this life on Friday, June 19, 2026 at the Jewish Hospital following an extended illness. He was 65 years of age.
Mr. Evans was a former employee of the Pike County School Systems, having spent the majority of his time there in the maintenance department. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Evans was a talented bluegrass musician, and played guitar with the Green River Gospel Group.
He leaves to cherish his memory:
His wife of 43 years: Marcia (Thompson) Evans,
A sister: Mary Kay Quesenberry and husband Terry,
And a host of extended family members and friends, including Wayne Reynolds, Tony Clark, and Sue Logsdon, all members of the Green River Gospel Group.
Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by three siblings: Robert Evans, Troy Evans, and Lonnie Mullins.
There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Evans on Tuesday, June 23, 2026 at 1:00 PM in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville.
Bro. Jeff Ramey will officiate.
Mr. Evans will be entombed in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, June 23, after 12:00 noon until time for the service.
