Vehicle Fire Near Taylor Regional Hospital Surgical Center

Campbellsville Fire-Rescue was dispatched to a report of a vehicle possibly on fire parked next to the TRH Surgical Center. Firefighter/EMT Daniel Lovett was near the TRHER and confirmed working car fire with exposure.

Firefighter Lovett and TRH staff including CEO Mike Everett jumped into action using multiple fire extinguishers to keep the fire knocked down until engine arrived on scene.

There was no fire exposure to the actual structure. Due to the close proximity, smoke and extinguisher agent created issues inside the center and required positive pressure ventilation and air monitoring of the entire structure.

Around 20 patients were evacuated from the building. No civilian or firefighter injuries were reported.
