Trabue-Russell House Board’s Student Art Show Set To Run April 15th-19th; Art From All Children Accepted, Free Admission

The Trabue-Russell House Board announces its 4th annual Student Art Show.

The show opens Tuesday, April 15 and runs through Saturday, April 19, 2025.

Tuesday through Friday exhibit hours are 2 to 5:30. Saturday, the exhibit will be open 10 to 2. Admission is FREE.

Children through grade 12 are invited to exhibit their work. All mediums are welcome. Work needs to be submitted by Monday, April 14. Additional information is available by calling 270-378-0351.

The show is funded by the Jim Blair Memorial Fund and administered by the City of Columbia, owners of this historic home on Jamestown Street. The original brick portion of the home was built in 1821-23 by Daniel Trabue, one of Columbia’s founders. Two later additions doubled the home’s size, which was owned by the James Montgomery Russell family for 100 years. It is a unique setting for the art work of today.

Come see what creative forces are at work in Adair County, now in its 224th year!
