Terry Lee Rogers

Mr. Terry Lee Rogers of Elk Horn, formerly of Pike County, passed peacefully from this life on Friday, June 20, 2025 at his home. Son of Dewey Lee Jr. and Diane Sue (Stanley) Rogers, he was born in Racine, Wisconsin on October 10, 1966. He was 58 years of age. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and attended Whites Ridge General Baptist Church. Mr. Rogers was a former coal truck driver by trade, and loved to fish and tinker on ATV’s, but his true passion was his family. His love captured many hearts, and it was always loyal and true. In 2011, he met Christina Forrest, and on June 17, 2017, they united in marriage. It was obvious that his parenting and grandparenting improved with each child and grandchild he gained; the more their numbers grew, the closer to perfect they became and the less wrong they could do.

Besides his wife, Mrs. Christina Rogers, he leaves to carry his legacy:

His parents: Dewey and Diane Rogers of Columbia,

Eight children: Brianna Marie “Bri” Covey, Ashley Nicole Lee, Diana Marie Rogers, Francisca Nicole “Franny” Jones and husband Brandon, Catherine Ann Rogers, Terry Lee “T.J.” Rogers, Jr., Kameron Lee Rogers, and Jasper Ian Rogers,

Four siblings: Leon Rogers and wife Billie of Columbia, Dickie Rogers and wife Brenda of Columbia, Forbie Rogers and wife Bea of Russell Springs, and Jennifer Gaddis and husband Jamie of Elk Horn,

Nine grandchildren: Wyatt Gilpin, Jordan Gilpin, Steven Brown, Ankiilix Covey, Oliver Jones, Andrew Jones, Jonah Jones, Maddison Viars, and Dixie Viars,

His mother-in-law and father-in-law: Judy and James Forrest,

His grandmother-in-law: Christine “Mamaw” Wise of Elk Horn,

Countless friends,

And a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives.

There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Terry Lee Rogers on Thursday, June 26, 2025 at 1:00 PM EDT (12:00 PM CDT) in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY.

Bro. Dickie Rogers and Craig Rogers will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Callahan Cemetery on Speck Ridge Rd.
Joe Goodin, Josh Hatcher, Ashley Lee, Brianna Covey, Wyatt Gilpin, Robbie Mackie, Jamie Gaddis, Jordan Gilpin, Richie Gabehart, and Ryan Mackie will serve as pallbearers. All of his grandchildren will serve as honorary pallbearers.
