On Friday, February 16th, 2024 at 11:02 p.m., Adair County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Sheriff Chandler Staten initiated a traffic stop on a 2011 F-250 truck north of Columbia on KY 55.
After a roadside investigation it was found that the operator, Clarence Hoover, 31, of Scottsville, was in possession of suspected methamphetamine.
He was also found to be a wanted fugitive from Tennessee.
Hoover was lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail by Deputy Staten on the charges of Careless Driving, Possession of a Controlled Substance (1st Degree Methamphetamine) and Fugitive from Justice.
The Adair County Sheriff’s Office continues the investigation.
