On Sunday, May 26th, 2024, the Adair County Sheriff’s Office received a call of a vehicle reportedly being stolen.
The vehicle, a 2004 Toyota Highlander, was taken from a residential driveway.
Deputy Chris Tweedy responded and initiated an investigation into the theft.
On Tuesday, May 28th, Deputy Teeedy and Deputy Gary Roy located and recovered the vehicle on an off-road trail in southern Adair County.
Through investigation, Deputy Tweedy obtained an arrest warrant for 19 year old Issac Turner.
Turner was arrested and lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail on charges of Theft by Unlawful Taking/Auto, Criminal Mischief (1st degree) and Theft of Motor Vehicle Registration.
The Adair County Sheriff’s Office continues the investigation.
