Jean Cecil Tudor

Jean Cecil Tudor, beloved Mom and Grandmother, went to be with her Lord on Thursday, May 1, 2025.

She was the youngest child of the late Courtney and Alberta Speake Cecil, born on May 31, 1928 in Woodford County, KY. She was 30 days from celebrating her 97th birthday.

Jean was the devoted wife of William Edward Tudor and they celebrated 40 years together before his passing in 1989.

She was a faithful Christian and loved the Lord, her family, and her home. Jean was a member of Gardenside Christian Church for over 60 years and was secretary/treasurer of the Fidelis Circle.

Jean was preceded in death by brothers James T. Cecil, and Robert “Bud” Cecil, and sister Ruby Cecil Jackson.

Left to cherish her memory are daughters Vicki Jean (Joe) Davis of Greensburg, KY, Marilyn (Mark) Lindsey and Amy (Chuck) Taylor of Lexington, KY; grandchildren Christopher Davis, Bethany Jean (Dan) Knoy, Derrick Lindsey, and Jennifer (Darrell) Swift; great-grandchildren Abigail Knoy, Hayden Knoy, Caleb Swift, and Claire Swift. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 8, 2025, from 11:30 A.M. – 12:30 P.M., EASTERN TIME, at Kerr Brothers Harrodsburg Road, with procession following to Bluegrass Memorial Gardens Chapel for a 1:00 P.M. service conducted by Pastor Greg Horn of Gardenside Christian Church.

Grandsons Christopher, Derrick, Dan, Darrell, Hayden, and Caleb will serve as pallbearers.

Honorary pallbearers include sons-in-law Joe, Mark and Chuck, Charlie Delaney, Barry Jackson, and Robert James Cecil.

Memorial contributions to Gardenside Christian Church, Lexington, KY, or a favorite charity.
