Mr. Hollis P. Milby of the Ebenezer community in Green County passed peacefully from this life on Friday, June 28, 2024 at the Taylor Regional Hospital. Born on June 13, 1939 to the late Elmer Milby and Annie Milby Carter, he was 85 years of age. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of South Greensburg Baptist Church. Mr. Milby was a heavy equipment operator by trade, but his lifelong passion was fishing.
He was preceded in death by his spouse, Wanda Forsythe Milby, in 1989; also by five siblings: Diane Milby, Leo Milby, Gene Milby, Lewis Milby, and Bob T. βRexβ Milby.
He leaves to cherish his memory:
Two daughters: Anissa Loy and husband Stacey of Campbellsville, and Andrea M. Ringhand and husband Nathan of San Diego, CA,
Four siblings: Henry Milby, Ruth Vittitow, Suzanne Hibbard and husband Tony, and Joyce Vaughn and husband Gene,
A grandson: Dakota Pike,
A great-granddaughter: Katelyn Pike,
And a host of extended family and friends.
There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Milby on Wednesday, July 3, 2024 at 10:00 AM EDT (9:00 AM CDT) in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville. Bro. Tony Hibbard will officiate. Interment will follow in the Wilson Cemetery in the Gabe community of Green County.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, July 2, from 5:00-8:00 PM EDT (4:00-7:00 PM CDT).
