Geneva Precious Marr Hall

Geneva Precious Marr Hall of Greensburg, Kentucky, daughter of the late Elva Leslie Marr and Maude Francis Milby Marr, was born on Sunday, January 26, 1930 in Green County and departed this life on Monday, June 16, 2025 at Green River Trails Nursing Home. She was 95 years, 4 months, and 21 days of age.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Oak Forest Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She worked as a machine operator for Fruit of the Loom and operated a restaurant in Summersville.

She was united in marriage to Clay Hall, who preceded her in death on October 8, 1996.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law: Tommy and Linda Hall of Summersville; two grandsons: Patrick Hall and John Hall both of Green County; two sisters: Rose McCubbin of Greensburg, Mariana Montgomery of Louisville; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Besides her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by two sons: Donnie Hall, Larry Hall; two grandchildren: Candace “Candy” Hall, Catina Bagby; one great-grandchild: LeeAnn Bagby; seven brothers: Jacob Marr, James Marr, Esau Marr, Sam Marr, Donald Marr, Roger Marr, Kenny Adams; three sisters: Jean Donan, Catherine Atwell, Maybell Berry.

The funeral services for Geneva Precious Marr Hall will be conducted at 1 P.M., Central Time, Friday, June 20, 2025 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Hall Cemetery. Bro. Greg Whitlow and Bro. Dennis Penick officiating.

Visitation is requested from 4 until 8 P.M., Central Time, Thursday at the funeral home and after 7 A.M., Friday until time of the service.
