On Friday, April 3, 2026, at approximately 9:27 p.m. (CST), the Columbia Police Department was dispatched to Tutt Street in response to a report of an intoxicated male discharging a firearm multiple times in a neighborhood.
Upon arrival, Columbia Police Officers located the male in the area and safely took him into custody without incident.
Bradley West, 55, of Columbia, Kentucky, was arrested at the scene and charged with the following offenses:
•Alcohol Intoxication in a Public Place (1st and 2nd Offense)
•Disorderly Conduct, 2nd Degree
•Wanton Endangerment, 1st Degree – Discharge of a Firearm
Columbia Police Officer Tyler McKinney was the arresting officer and was assisted by Officer Nathan Ginn, Sergeant Jay Wilson, and Adair County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Hunter Tweety.
The Columbia Police Department reminds the public that discharging a firearm within the Columbia city limits is strictly prohibited.
