City Working With Small Businesses To Further Promote Shopping Local

The City of Columbia is working with small businesses in the community to promote shopping local.

This will be an initiative for our local community to encourage people to shop at our local shops, support our economy, and foster relationships between businesses and our community.

As a part of this effort, they will continue with the To The Nines; but, also do some events as special projects such as promoting local foodtrucks, local talent, and recognizing special events.

Some of the items mentioned included local authors throughout the town signing their books, a coloring puzzle for children to pick up in various locations and stores, and possibly a music event.

Their next meeting will be prior to the September To The Nines.

If you would like to be involved contact the Mayor’s Office, Diana Withers at Local Dwelling Company or Jessica Hatcher at Gypsy Jolee.
