Cardinal Football defeated the Meade County Greenwave 20-0 in the first home game of the season, despite the contest being suspended and later ended due to inclement weather after the first half.
It was also Senior Night for Taylor County Football, honoring their 15 players. Quarterback Rex Parkey completed 7 of 11 passes for 43 yards and led the team in rushing yards with 88 and 1 touchdown. Fellow senior Braxtyn Abren had 53 rushing yards on 10 carries with 2 touchdowns recorded. Jaylen Anderson led the team in receptions and receiving yards with 5 for 24. Defensively, the Cards held Meade to 13 yards passing and -1 rushing yards.
Taylor County Football will be back in action on a long road trip to Cincinnati to face Newport this Friday.
