Campbellsville Police Arrest Lebanon Man On Multiple Charges After Pursuit

On Monday, September 1, 2025 at 10:26 p.m., Campbellsville Police received a complaint of a disturbance involving a man with a gun in the area of Patterson Court.

While officers were responding to the scene, they were advised that the male causing the disturbance had left the scene.

Officer Chris Milby located the vehicle in the area of Duffy Street and attempted to stop him.

As Officer Milby activated his emergency equipment, the suspect sped away.

After a short pursuit, 32-year old Johnny J. Payne of Lebanon, KY was taken into custody, lodged in the Taylor County Detention Center, and charged with the following:

Operating Motor Vehicle under the Influence of Substance 1st

Fleeing or Evading Police 1st degree (motor vehicle)

Reckless Driving

Wanton Endangerment 1st degree (police officer)

Speeding 26 mph or more

Failure to Wear Seatbelt

Failure to or Improper Signal

No Operator’s License

Disregarding Stop Sign
