Adair County Sheriff’s Office Alert: Phone Scam

Scam Alert – The Adair County Sheriff’s Office has received a report that someone pretending to be a deputy had called someone and told them that they had missed jury duty.

Warrants were issued for their arrest.

Sheriff Gary Roy wants the community to rest assured that he, his deputies, or his staff will not call anyone and tell them they have a warrant for their arrest.

If you receive a phone call like this, do not give out any personal or financial information, hang up immediately.
