Campbellsville Middle School Celebrates Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting

Campbellsville, KY – April 18, 2025 — It was a day of pride, excitement, and fresh beginnings as the Campbellsville Independent School District officially celebrated the grand opening and ribbon cutting of the brand new Campbellsville Middle School.

Community members, students, faculty, and local leaders gathered on Friday, April 18 for a special ceremony at the newly constructed campus, marking a major milestone in the district’s commitment to education and growth. The event featured speeches from school officials, student performances, and the ceremonial cutting of the ribbon to formally open the doors of the state-of-the-art facility.

“This is a very important milestone here in our community.” said Superintendent Kirby Smith during his remarks.

The celebration will continue on Saturday, April 19, with an open house event inviting the public to tour the new facility. Guests will walk the halls, visit classrooms, and explore the new spaces—including a preview of the upcoming Hamilton Auditorium and Band Hall, which will further enhance the district’s arts and performance programs.

The new Campbellsville Middle School is designed with innovation, technology, and student engagement at the forefront. With bright, flexible learning spaces, collaborative areas, and upgraded security features, the school is equipped to meet the needs of today’s students and educators.
