Green County, February 2025 – The Green County Food Pantry is celebrating the successful completion of its first month with a new organizational system designed to streamline food distribution. The initiative, which sorts clients by the first letter of their last names, has been well-received and is operating smoothly.
Starting this month, the food pantry has introduced a new system to help manage the growing number of families in need. The schedule is as follows:
- 1st Thursday of the month: Last names A-E
- 2nd Thursday of the month: Last names F-L
- 3rd Thursday of the month: Last names M-R
- 4th Thursday of the month: Last names S-Z
The system, which is designed to ensure efficient service, will continue through the upcoming months with no changes to the schedule.
In addition to the new scheduling system, the Green County Food Pantry is encouraging community members to donate any extra grocery bags they may have. These bags are essential for distributing food to families in need, and donations can be made at the pantry during their regular operating hours.
The Green County Food Pantry is grateful for the continued support of the community and looks forward to maintaining this streamlined system as they continue their mission of providing food assistance to local families.
