Calvin Leon Creason

October 12, 1934 – August 6, 2026

Calvin Leon Creason of Summersville, Kentucky, son of the late Rollin Ivo Creason and Vallie Marie Dangerfield Creason, was born on Friday, October 12, 1934 in Green County and departed this life on Thursday, August 6, 2026 at the Taylor Regional Hospital. He was 91 years, 9 months, and 25 days of age.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and attended Holly Grove Baptist Church. He worked as a farmer for many years.

Calvin served our country honorably, having served in the United States Army overseas in Germany after the Koren War.

He is survived by three brothers and sisters-in-law: Ellis and Mary Creason, Charles and Ruby Creason, Randel and Judy Creason all of Summersville; one sister and brother-in-law: Glenda and Steve Rico of Tennessee; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law: Ann Milby and Charles “Buck” Milby.

The funeral service for Calvin Leon Creason will be conducted at 1 P.M., Central Time, Sunday, August 9, 2026 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Wilson Cemetery with full military honors by the Glasgow DAV. Bro. Dennis Penick and Bro. Leslie Jewell officiating.

Visitation is requested from 4 until 8 P.M., Central Time, Saturday at the funeral home and after 7 A.M., Central Time, Sunday at the funeral home until time of the service.

The family has requested that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Gideon Bible Fund or Wilson Cemetery Fund which can both be made at the funeral home.
