The Campbellsville-Taylor County Chamber of Commerce, along with presenting sponsor Duo Broadband, is proud and deeply honored to announce that the late Chief Charlie Shaw has been named Grand Marshal of the 2025 Fourth of July Parade.
Chief Shaw dedicated over 30 years of service as Chief of Campbellsville-Taylor County
Rescue. His leadership shaped emergency response throughout the region through major
accomplishments including a building project, integration of county EMS, formation of a
regional dive team, a partnership with Taylor Regional Hospital’s trauma program, a regional hazmat team, and one of Kentucky’s few certified technical rescue teams.
He was widely respected for his commitment to excellence, always guided by his personal
motto: “Quality is never an accident. It is the result of intelligent effort.” A mentor to many, he was passionate about developing future leaders, providing them with the tools and example to excel.
Chief Shaw also took great care in honoring fallen emergency service members, often
coordinating their funerals with dignity and compassion. His efforts brought comfort to grieving families and paid lasting tribute to those who served.
Chief Shaw had a deep love for the annual Fourth of July Celebration in his community and always looked forward to participating in the parade, making it a fitting tribute to honor his memory during this cherished tradition.
The Duo Broadband Fourth of July Parade will be held Friday July 4th starting at 10 a.m. The parade starts along Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd and continues west on Main Street. More information, including lineup locations, is available online at CampbellsvilleFourthofJuly.com.
The 49th annual Campbellsville-Taylor County Fourth of July Celebration will be held Saturday, June 28th through Saturday, July 5th.
