Regenia Mae Thompson Calhoun of Henderson, Kentucky, formerly of Greensburg, daughter of the late Bennie Thompson and Clara Simmons Thompson, was born on Tuesday, May 2, 1933 in Green County and departed this life on Thursday, April 30, 2026 at Redbanks Nursing Home. She was 92 years, 11 months, and 28 days of age.
She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a retired line worker from International Tables.
She was united in marriage to Vechell R. Calhoun on September 23, 1950, who preceded her in death on December 13, 2011.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law: Billy and Rhonda Calhoun of Henderson; two daughters and sons-in-law: Mary and Tony Hite, Betty and John Kellough all of Indiana; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Besides her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by three sons: Joseph Richard Calhoun, Bennie Calhoun, Ronnie Calhoun; and fourteen brothers and sisters.

The funeral service for Regenia Mae Thompson Calhoun will be conducted at 3 P.M., Central Time, Saturday, May 9, 2026 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Bell Cemetery.
Visitation is requested after 1 P.M., Central Time, Saturday until time of the funeral service.
The family has requested that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Bell Cemetery Fund which can be made at the funeral home.
