Genia Whitlow Shearer of Elizabethtown, Kentucky, formerly of Greensburg, daughter of the late Herbert Delano Whitlow and Francis Virginia Loyall Whitlow, was born on Wednesday, October 29, 1958 and departed this life on Wednesday, April 22, 2026 at Baptist Health Hardin. She was 67 years, 5 months, and 24 days of age.
She is survived by her daughter: Tessa Curry and her fiancé, Garry of Campbellsville; five grandchildren: Micah Curry of Irvine, Savanna Taylor of Campbellsville, Brooklyn Taylor of Bowling Green, Quentin Curry, Cooper Curry both of Hopkinsville; one great-grandchild: Memphis Taylor of Campbellsville; three sisters and brothers-in-law: Glenda Wells and Mark of Alabama, Reba and Wayne Harris of Illinois, Carola Whitlow of California; one brother and his spouse: Eric Winters and Russell of Covington; a special friend: David Corbin of Greensburg; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by her son: Ryan Curry on September 9, 2024.

Honoring her wishes, cremation was chosen. There will be a private family-only memorial service held in her memory. Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
