Evelyn Carol (Fair) Vaught of Elk Horn, the daughter of the late Abram “Abe” and Mamie Lee (Clements) Fair, was born May 4, 1941 in Casey County, KY and departed this life on Friday, April 24, 2026 in Campbellsville at the Grandview. She was 84 years of age.
She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Farmers Chapel Church and worked for Fruit of the Loom for over 35 years.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two spouses: Melvin Hicks and Warren Vaught; a son: Tony Hicks; a daughter: Linda Sallee; her brothers: Vitus, Bill, Hearl, Rufus and Earl Fair; a fiancé Willard Smith.
Survivors include a daughter and a son: Annette Blevins and husband Paul of Casey County and Conrad Hicks and wife Judy of Junction City.
Also surviving are eleven grandchildren: Brittany Beard and Matthew, Taylor Cook and fiancé Anthony Strong, Derrick Sallee and Sara, Angela Abbott and Raleigh, Gage Sallee, Lily Sallee, Dallas Hicks, Jesse Hicks, Savannah Shultz and Will, Andrew Hicks and Cathy and Melissa Hundley and Dylan and a host of great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
FUNERAL: Tuesday, April 28, 2026 at 1:00 P.M. at the
Pine Grove Community Church, 454 Pine Grove Road, Elk Horn, KY.
OFFICIATING: Pastor David Hicks
INTERMENT: Whited Cemetery in Casey County
VISITATION: after 12 Noon on Tuesday until time for the service
