Billy Joe Walker of London, Kentucky, formerly of Greensburg, son of the late Marion Walker and Annie Stansberry Walker, was born on Monday, October 12, 1936 in Laurel County and departed this life on Sunday, April 14, 2024 at Baptist Health Hardin. He was 87 years, six months, and two days of age.
He had made a profession of faith in Christ and attended Greenburg United Methodist Church. He worked on the Railroad as a Brakeman and Switchman.
Survived by his children: Marion Walker of London, Sam Walker of Bloomfield, Billy Joe Walker of London, Constance Maggard of Corbin, Mary Perkins of Lilly; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren; a sister: Alma Lee Phillips of Louisville; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Mr. Walker was also preceded in death by a daughter: Jennifer Neeley; a son: Paul Walker; three brothers: Don Walker, Sam Walker, John Walker; four sisters: Ella Coldiron, Imogene King, Bobbie Cox and Marion Faye Lemons; a great-granddaughter: Tamara Mefford.

The funeral services for Billy Joe Walker will be conducted at 12:00, Noon, Central Time, Friday, April 19, 2024 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Little Barren Cemetery. Bro. Dale Curry officiating.
Visitation is requested after 11:00 A.M., Central Time, Friday until time of the funeral service.
The family has requested that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Green County Food Pantry which can be made at the funeral home.
