Hugh William Bloyd, 83, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, December 21, 2023. He was born in Green County, Kentucky to the late Rollin Bloyd and Sylvia Cross on September 18, 1940.
Hugh was a Heavy Machine Operator and a member of Local 181. He also attended Cornerstone Worship Center and was an avid hunter.
His brother, Austin Bloyd preceded Hugh in death.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 60 years, Arlene; children, Karen Warf (Dale), Michael McMillan (Sherry), Hugh Bloyd Jr. (Jaime), Cindy Peak (Christopher); 5 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild; brothers: Vernon “Duck” Bloyd (Louise), David Lee Buley and a host of other family members and friends.
Visitation will be Wednesday, December 27, 2023 from 2-7 pm eastern time at Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home, 8519 Preston Hwy. Louisville, Kentucky. Funeral services will be Thursday at 11 am eastern time at the funeral home with burial to follow at Bell Family Cemetery in Greensburg, Kentucky at 12:30 pm Central time.
