Campbellsville Man In Critical Condition After Single Vehicle Accident At Intersection Of East Broadway, Watertower Bypass

On Sunday, May 3, 2026, at approximately 3:15 AM, the Campbellsville Police Department responded to an injury accident at the intersection of East Broadway and Watertower Bypass.

Preliminary investigation revealed that Kern Kost, 27, of Campbellsville, was traveling west on East Broadway in a 2011 Chevy Silverado.

While traveling west on Broadway, Mr. Kost attempted to turn left on to Watertower Bypass where he failed to negotiate the turn, ultimately colliding with a concrete embankment in a head on manner.

Mr. Kost was transported to Taylor Regional Hospital where he was later airlifted to University of Louisville Hospital for further treatment. 

Kost is listed in critical condition at this time.
