A special day for the Lady Cardinals softball program took place as senior standout Adelyn Bradstreet officially signed to continue her academic and athletic career at Campbellsville University.
Bradstreet has been one of the team’s most reliable and impactful players over the past several seasons, serving as a key piece in both the infield and the batting order. Her contributions were instrumental in helping lead the Lady Cardinals to last season’s Region Championship, and she has continued to be a leader for the program during her senior campaign.
Last season, Adelyn Bradstreet was a major contributor to the Lady Cardinals’ Region Championship run, putting together an outstanding year at the plate. Over 36 games, she recorded 36 hits in 108 at-bats for a strong .333 batting average. Bradstreet scored 25 runs and drove in 18 RBIs, consistently providing production in key moments throughout the season. She also added 5 doubles and 1 triple, showcasing her ability to hit for extra bases, while drawing 12 walks and stealing 6 bases in 6 attempts. Her consistency, speed, and ability to come through offensively made her one of the team’s most dependable players and a key part of last year’s championship success.
Through the first seven games of the season, Bradstreet is batting an impressive .346, collecting 9 hits in 26 at-bats. She has scored 7 runs, driven in 5 RBIs, and added 1 double and 1 home run to her stat line. She has also shown patience at the plate with 2 walks while striking out only 2 times, along with 1 stolen base.
Beyond the numbers, Bradstreet’s leadership, work ethic, and consistency have made her a cornerstone of the Lady Cardinals’ success.
What makes this achievement even more special is her excellence in the classroom. Bradstreet has built an outstanding academic record during her high school career, truly embodying the meaning of a student-athlete. Her dedication to both academics and athletics has earned her this well-deserved opportunity to continue competing at the collegiate level.
